C++ Proxy/Networking/Tunnel/Linux/OpenSource – ActiveSync/Jetty/Nginx Software Engineers in Lexington, MA

Exciting new search for 3 new Software Engineers:

Strong, public company in Lexington, MA area

C++ Proxy/Networking/Tunnel/Linux/OpenSource – ActiveSync/Jetty/Nginx Software Engineers

All very similar roles, just different levels of expertise. Two of the hires would be Principal+ (Tech Lead types who can take design, mentor juniors, and play a leadership role). Still must be very hands-on and bang out code.

This particular group within our client operates like a startup – aggressive, high-end environment.

Salaries will range from 115-140k for the Principal + 10% bonus, senior 85k to 103k + 5 % bonus ( bonus pays out every year)

Creating a new product – a proxy server that will sit in the DMZ of a client. All Linux, Open Source, building functionality on top of that. Will funnel to internal servers.

Proxy is written in C/C++ – the core (EngineX, similar with Apache).

Strong experience with proxy servers like Jetty or Nginx – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nginx

would be nice.

Java is a nice plus.

Most of the initial work is in C++, some of the new features will be in Java

1 Principal with ActiveSync expertise
1 Principal with strong Sockets, VPN tunneling/sockets/encryption/proxy background
1 Senior + generalist
• Experience with C/C++ is required
• Experience with Java, Linux development, Web services, and socket APIs is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft’s ActiveSync protocol, network protocols, or Proxies is a plus
Sound interesting?
